Vice President of Preconstruction Greater Houston, TX Area

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Preconstruction with a strong technical and operational background to lead the preconstruction phase of large, multi-disciplinary capital projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting, estimating, and structuring these projects, ensuring that the company's comprehensive resources are effectively leveraged to meet the energy infrastructure needs of its partners. The role demands a leader with a collaborative mindset, deep domain literacy in large-scale infrastructure, and a proven track record in mega-project capability. Applicants for the Vice President of Preconstruction role at the company should have a minimum of 12 years' experience in preconstruction, senior estimating, or high-level project controls leadership within the relevant sectors. A background in data center or mission-critical buildouts is advantageous, but the candidate must be capable of interfacing with heavy civil and high-voltage utility disciplines. The role requires a leader with a strategic, cash-flow-optimized approach to project budgeting, and a deep understanding of commercial construction execution, project accounting, and contract lifecycle management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 5 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary preconstruction teams. Strong negotiation, relationship-building, and leadership skills are essential, as is the ability to influence and build consensus among internal executives.
